Invest Cyprus signs MoU to boost ties with Brazil’s ninth-largest economy

Invest Cyprus and the Federation of Commerce, Services, and Tourism of the State of Fecomércio Goiás recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Brazil.

The agreement, which according to Invest Cyprus, aims to foster stronger economic, commercial, cultural, and educational ties between Cyprus and Brazil’s ninth-largest economy, was signed by Dr Vassilios Filippou Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Brazil, and Dr Marcelo Baiocchi, President of Fecomércio-GO. They were joined by other board members and local authorities.

Invest Cyprus’ CEO Marios Tannousis, who attended the signing ceremony virtually, said: “The MoU with the Federation of Commerce, Services, and Tourism of the State of Goiás is a crucial step in strengthening business and investment ties between Cyprus and this rapidly growing Brazilian state."

He added, "Through this cooperation, we aim to create new opportunities across multiple sectors, enhancing competitiveness and sustainable development”.

This new partnership follows Invest Cyprus' agreement with Paraná in October 2024, and it says further solidifies its commitment to global investment opportunities and partnerships.
