Association of Cyprus Electronic Money and Payment Institutions Cyprus announces afternoon event

The Association of Cyprus Electronic Money and Payment Institutions Cyprus (ACEMPI) is organising an afternoon event on Thursday, 3 April, 2025, at 5.30pm at Residence by Occhio in Nicosia.

This event presents a unique opportunity for industry professionals to stay up to date with the latest developments in the e-money and payments sector in Cyprus, network with key industry leaders, and gain valuable insights into emerging trends and market challenges.

The event will begin with the welcome address by ACEMPI’s President Ioannis Georgoulas, who will share the association’s vision and strategic objectives for the e-money sector in Cyprus.

A keynote speech will also be delivered by George Karatzias, Executive Board Member of the Central Bank of Cyprus, who will discuss the latest regulatory developments and their impact on Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs) in the country. Following this, Jürgen Schaaf, Advisor to the Senior Management of Market Infrastructure and Payments at European Central Bank, will provide insights into technological advancements and strategic shifts shaping the payments sector across Europe and Cyprus.

The evening will conclude with a networking cocktail, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with industry experts and colleagues.

The event is addressed to Members of ACEMPI, Board Members, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CROs, Managing Directors, Finance Directors and other senior executives from the financial sector. The event will also welcome representatives from relevant local regulatory bodies and governmental authorities.
