Construction materials prices up by 1.38% in February

Prices of construction materials recorded an annual increase of 1.38% in February, while an increase of 0.94% was recorded in the first two months of the year.

According to CySTAT, the Price Index of Construction Materials for February 2025 reached 118.56 units (base year 2021=100), recording an increase of 0.82% compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index recorded an increase of 1.38%. 

By main commodity category, increases were recorded in minerals (3.09%), mineral products (3.04%), electromechanical products (1.85%) and products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.84%), whereas a decrease was observed in metallic products (0.74%).

For the period January-February 2025, the index recorded an increase of 0.94% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
