Wargaming announces Early Access Global Launch for original IP Steel Hunters

Wargaming, the Nicosia-based developer behind the hit World of Tanks and World of Warships Franchises, has unveiled that its recently announced original IP Steel Hunters, a free-to-play mech hero shooter that blends Battle Royale and Extraction mechanics, will officially enter Early Access Global Launch on 2 April.

Guided by a player-first philosophy, this Early Access phase empowers the community to actively shape and evolve the game through their feedback until its full release, ensuring it becomes the most engaging and satisfying mech-shooter experience, the company said. The development team will share additional insights into this approach as the game enters Early Access.

According to the game’s creators, Steel Hunters offers an intense mech power fantasy where players control formidable mechanical giants—Hunters—and participate in action-packed battles, pursuing various objectives to level up and acquire gear. Each Hunter comes with its own distinct playstyle, unique ability kits, and progression systems that allow for a variety of strategies and tactics to outmatch opponents as they advance toward the final showdown at the extraction point.

Choose from an elite roster—including Razorside, Heartbreaker, Fenris, Ursus, Trenchwalker, Prophet, and Weaver—each armed with devastating abilities and ready to dominate dynamic battlegrounds like Crimson Ridge, Maryland Heights, and Stonecutter Keep.

The game will be available for PC players via the Wargaming Game Center and Stream.
