2025 starts off with a leap in real estate sales

Building on the momentum from last year, the real estate market is still on an upward trajectory, recording positive growth in January.

According to data from the Land Registry Department, sales recorded nationwide in January this year amounted to 1,275 compared to 1,056 in January 2024 recording an increase of 21%.

Limassol at the top with an impressive increase

Limassol recorded a 36% jump and took first place, with 429 sales documents submitted in January 2025 up from 315 in January 2024, accounting for approximately one third of total sales.

Nicosia follows, with 276 sales in the first month of 2025 compared to 244 in the first month of 2024, recording an increase of 13%.

The number of sales documents submitted in Larnaca increased by 20%, reaching 259 in January this year compared to 215 in January last year.

Paphos also recorded positive growth, with 255 property sales in January 2025 compared to 242 in the corresponding month of 2024, recording a 5% increase.

A total of 56 sales documents were filed in free Famagusta in January this year, up from 40 in the same month of 2024, marking an increase of 40%.
