Kombos and al-Sharaa "discuss possibility of Cyprus business delegation to Syria"

Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos discussed the issue of investments with Syria’s transitional leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, during his visit to Damascus, as well as the possibility of a business delegation to the country from Cyprus.

According to information CNA has obtained, during Kombos’ meeting with al-Sharaa, the issue of investments in the country, which needs infrastructure such as roads and others, was discussed, as well as the possibility of a visit to Syria by a delegation of Cyprus’ business community.

The Foreign Minister, according to the same sources, also discussed ways of strengthening cooperation at a technocratic level as regards Syria's relations with the European Union with al-Sharaa.
