Welcoming the guests to the celebration ceremony for the 25 years of service of the American Medical Center, Dr. Marinos Soteriou, one of the founders of the American Medical Center, made special mention of the future plans for the expansion of AMC's facilities in Nicosia.
More specifically, he mentioned the construction of a multipurpose tower, which will be connected to the rest of the buildings with flyovers and underground corridors, for unhindered access for patients. At the same time, he noted, the new facilities will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology while the most modern medical and therapeutic services will be provided.
Dr. Soteriou also focused on the under construction AMC Limassol, the new model Private Hospital in Limassol, which is anticipated to be a point of reference for Cyprus.
He noted it will operate on the basis of the most modern international standards and become one of the largest and most advanced Private Hospitals in the wider region.
In a brief history of American Medical Center, Dr. Soteriou, also referred to AMC milestones, noting that the beginning was made with the first heart surgery at American Heart Institute in July 1999, to reach, as he said, 2024 and the signing of an agreement with the Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG) for cooperation in the private sector of health services.
