Dr Stelios Himonas in London for IMO Council session

The Permanent Secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry, Dr Stelios Himonas, is currently attending the 132nd session of the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) held between 8-12 July in London.

During the Session, Dr Himonas met with the Secretary-General of the IMO, Arsenio Dominguez, as well as representatives of other member states of the Organization, including Greece and Italy.

IMO is the United Nations specialised agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine and atmospheric pollution by ships. IMO's work supports the UN SDGs.​
