Inflation drops in first half of 2024 compared to previous semester

Inflation in Cyprus saw a decrease by 0.32% in the first half of 2024, excluding consumption tax increases, compared to the previous semester (July – December 2023).

According to the data published by CySTAT, the Consumer Price Index, excluding consumption tax increases, reached 112.41 points in the period January - June 2024, a decrease of 0.32%, compared to the previous period.

Compared to the corresponding half of 2023, inflation, excluding consumption tax increases, recorded an increase of 2.2% in the first half of 2024.
