GOLD New Issue: The Limassol Issue

In the new issue of GOLD magazine, on the newsstands from Sunday, 16 June, we present Limassol’s development into a dynamic tech and business hub.

Limassol has long been established as the financial and shipping centre of Cyprus and, more recently, has become the technology hub of the country. The technology sector now contributes almost 14% of GDP-significantly outstripping shipping's 7%- while almost half of this activity takes place in Limassol.

Nevertheless, challenges persist: the lack of residential and commercial real estate, the much-discussed Technology Park in Pentakomo, high customs duties at the port of Limassol, the lack of English-speaking schools causing concern among the foreign business community, and many others, are calling on Limassol to respond for its upward trajectory to continue.
