Mercure Larnaca City Hotel: The first images of Larnaca’s new hotel (pics)

The Mercure Larnaca City Hotel, the second Mercure hotelto be established in Cyprus, is anticipated to open in July.

With both venues members of the French multinational company Accor, the Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort has been operating since May 2023.

The new hotel is centrally located on Vasileos Evagorou Street in Larnaca, and aims to strike a balance between tradition and modernity, making it an attractive choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Situated near Phoinikoudes beach, the new hotel unit has 42 rooms, a modern gym, meeting space, as well as a pool bar on the top floor, which also serves as a relaxation area for guests, during both the day or in the evening.

Speaking to 'Xenodochos,’ the official magazine of the Cyprus Hoteliers Association, the General Manager of the Mercure Larnaca City Hotel, Andreas Sofocleous, emphasised that the hotel's goal is to create an unforgettable and holistic experience for its guests, combining modern comforts with a touch of local charm and sustainability.

"Whether they are looking for a business-oriented stay or a relaxing getaway, the hotel's diverse features and thoughtful details make it an ideal choice for guests, in the heart of Larnaca," said Sofocleous.

The Smoothie Factory at Larnaca’s new hotel

The facilities of the Mercure Larnaca City Hotel also include the Smoothie Factory, belonging to IN Business Awards -winning businessman Elias Kokkinos and which is coming to upgrade the ‘taste map’ of Larnaca. Smoothie Factory's landmark agreement with the hotel's management company, Solaar Hospitality, paves the way for further expansion of the well-known brand in other cities.

Smoothie Factory was originally founded in Texas in 1996, while in 2020 it made its debut in the European market with its opening in Nicosia, having become a popular brunch destination. Among other things, it serves smoothies, juices, brunch, light lunch and other drinks. Following consumer trends, it has an innovative menu with veganism, detox and other healthy options.
