ECB Supervisory Board to meet for the first time in Cyprus

The Central Bank of Cyprus is set to host, for the first time in Cyprus, the regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank (ECB) on 16-17 May.

According to a statement by the Central Bank of Cyprus, the Supervisory Board discusses, plans and executes the supervisory tasks of the ECB. The ECB directly supervises significant institutions in each eurozone country and other participating EU member states.

The Board consists of the President, the Vice President, four ECB representatives, and representatives from national supervisory authorities.
