CBC keeps countercyclical capital buffer rate at 1.5%

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) announced that it has maintained the countercyclical capital buffer rate at 1.5%.

It said that in line with the provisions of the Macroprudential Oversight of Institutions Laws of 2015 to 2022, the CBC deemed appropriate to maintain the countercyclical buffer (CCyB) rate at 1.5%, effective from 14 January 2026.
