Deputy shipping ministry at “Sea Japan” expo in Tokyo

Cyprus' Deputy Ministry of Shipping will participate in the international maritime exhibition "Sea Japan" in Tokyo from 10 to 12 April.

“Sea Japan" is held every two years in Japan and has become established as one of the most important maritime exhibitions in Asia. First held in 1994 and celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the exhibition will take place between 10-12 April in Tokyo and is expected to be the largest exhibition to date. It will feature some 600 exhibitors from 30 countries and is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors.

In a press release, the Deputy Ministry said that it will participate in the exhibition with a kiosk, together with Cyprus' Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry. A delegation of the Deputy Ministry of Shipping will provide, throughout the exhibition, information to visitors on the advantages of Cyprus shipping, the registration of ships under the Cyprus flag, the Cyprus Tonnage Tax System and information on all the services offered by the Deputy Ministry of Shipping. The exhibition will include a presentation of Cyprus as a developed Maritime Centre and the Cyprus flag as a flag of quality and reliability.

The Deputy Ministry of Shipping will also be participating in the Cyprus-Japan Business Forum on 9 April, which is being organised by the Ministry of Energy in cooperation with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Commercial Centre of the Embassy of Cyprus in Tokyo, in order to promote Cyprus as a business centre for shipping, technology and more broadly.
