Registered unemployed down 13.5% in March y-o-y

The number of registered unemployed in March decreased by 1,920 persons or 13.5% when compared to March 2023, according to Cystat.

This decline is attributed primarily to several key sectors, including financial and insurance activities, construction, trade, accommodation, and food service activities, as well as a reduction in new entrants to the labour market.

The total number of unemployed persons registered at the District Labour Offices on the last day of March 2024, reached 12,277

Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for March 2024 decreased to 11,476 persons in comparison to 11,614 in the previous month.
