The Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Limassol created in Cyprus

The Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Limassol, has been incorporated under the Cyprus Companies Law and is accepting applications for membership.

According to a recent press release, the Club was incorporated under Cap. 113 of the relevant law, on 1 November, 2023.

The Club is part of the International Propeller Club of the United States, described as the largest network of individuals dedicated to the enhancement and well-being of all interests of the maritime community on a national and international basis.

It is a non-profit organisation collectively controlled by a board of nine volunteer Governors, elected by Members every two years.

The Club’s first Board of Governors includes the following members:

Andreas Chrysostomou, 2nd Vice President

Dr. Loukas Barmparis, General Secretary

Stavros Pantzaris, Treasurer

Riginos Tsanos, Governor

Marina Hajioannou, Governor

"The objectives and aspirations of the Club include the encouragement of cooperation between the United States and Cyprus in the maritime sector, the promotion of the entrepreneurial, cultural, and social interest of members of the Propeller Club, the exchange of views between the two countries and the liaison with the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Coast Guard on maritime matters," the press release noted.

It continued that, on Thursday, 15 February, a meeting of the Board of Governors was held at the Club’s registered office at Safe Bulkers Tower in Limassol. The meeting addressed a series of organisational topics, including discussions on the best way to proceed for strengthening and expanding the Club, the announcement concluded, inviting those interested in applying for Club Membership to visit the Club’s website www.propellerclub.cy.
