R. Morton: The emerging trend in hospitality is investment in leisure resorts

The world of hospitality is in a period of change and challenges. In a rapidly changing environment, the success of hotels essentially depends on their ability to adapt and innovate.

And, Rod Morton, CEO of Greenspan Projects Ltd, told audiences at the 45th Cyprus Hotel Summit & Exhibition presented by the Cyprus Hotels Association that one of the key trends shaping the landscape is the growing demand for resorts and leisure services.

Addressing the 23 February event, Morton shared his thoughts on developments in the hotel and resort sector.

He explained the importance of how resorts and hotels invest in leisure activities, also giving examples of successful management and attracting new customers through a fireside chat entitled 'Uncover your hidden revenue.'

Investing in activities and leisure centers is a growing trend, the main reason being that it is a tangible investment, Morton suggested.

He also mentioned the fact that such investments are beneficial to a country as it has been observed that visitors stay longer to visit and attractions on offer.

The advantages for businesses that host such activities are also significant, as it has become clear that they bring in more revenue since visitors proceed to purchase food and drink during their stay.

In the context of the discussion, Morton also referred to examples of foreign celebrities who invested in this sector, through golf resorts, etc., especially in areas with warm weather, such as Florida in the USA, thus highlighting the huge prospects for sunny Cyprus.
