Cyprus University of Technology - Zhejiang University sign cooperation protocol

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), with campuses in Limassol and Paphos, signed a cooperation protocol with China's Zhejiang University, which is among the top 40 universities in the world, according to international rankings.
The protocol agreement was signed on 1 February in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus, Liu Yantao, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs of the University, Professor Nikolas Tsapatsoulis and Deputy Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Archaeology, of Zhejiang University, Professor Hong Chen, a press release by CUT says.
The protocol provides for the academic cooperation between the School of Fine and Applied Arts of CUT and the School of Fine Arts and Archaeology of Zhejiang University, through the exchange of students and research cooperation in the fields of arts, multimedia, planning, cultural heritage and museology.
Thirty students were awarded certificates for their participation in the "Winter Archaeology Project" organised by the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship Management of CUT in Paphos.
The Chinese Ambassador praised the long-term support and cooperation CUT develops with Chinese Universities which contributes to further strengthening the very good relations between Cyprus and China.
Professor Tsapatsoulis said that CUT considers Chinese Universities as potential strategic partners in the fields of research, innovation and education.
Last July, thirty students from Hangzhou Dianzi University participated, together with students from CUT, in the first summer school that operated at the university, in the framework of the Confucius Institute, which will soon start offering Chinese language lessons.
