Panayiotou in Brussels for EU Council, to meet Commissioners Kadis and Hansen

Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr Maria Panayiotou is travelling to Brussels for the EU Council of Ministers of Agriculture and Fisheries set to take place on 9 and 10 December.

In a press release, the Ministry said that the EU Ministers will discuss the Council Regulations on 2025 fishing opportunities in the Atlantic and North Seas, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

The Ministers will exchange views on the future of agriculture and the prospects for the development of the bioeconomy, it added.

On the sidelines of the Council, Dr Panayiotou will hold separate meetings with the Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Costas Kadis, and with the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Christophe Hansen.

She is expected to return to Cyprus on 11 December.
