Cyprus tech company Irerobot awarded international and EU patents

Law firm Georgiades & Associates LLC has announced that their client, Irerobot, has received positive confirmation from patent examiners for their International Patent application (PCT) including all EU countries.

"This significant achievement confirms that all 15 claims associated with the patent meet the stringent criteria of novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability. Notably, this marks Irerobot's second successful international patent that satisfies these critical requirements," the firm's announcement said.

Evagoras Xydas, Founder of Irerobot and the innovator behind the new patent, expressed his enthusiasm in the same, stating, "This result is a testament to our commitment to revolutionising how people with hearing impairments experience sound. Our technology bridges the gap and offers an alternative communication method that relies on the sense of touch." He added, "We are very grateful to our legal team for their invaluable support in helping us reach this milestone."

Yiannos Georgiades, Managing Partner at Georgiades & Associates LLC, shared his delight, "We are thrilled with this outcome. It highlights the groundbreaking nature of Irerobot's innovations and opens doors to new possibilities for enhancing human interaction with technology."

Stephanie Georgiadou, Head of the Corporate and IP Department, also commented, "It has been a privilege to work alongside Irerobot. Their dedication to combining advanced technology with meaningful benefits for disabled communities is truly inspiring."

The breakthrough project by Irerobot is set to launch unique technology that allows the deaf to 'hear' through vibrations. This innovative approach addresses the challenges faced by over half a billion people with hearing disabilities, providing them with an inclusive tool to immerse themselves in the world of sounds.

"In a compelling interview with CNN Arabic, Irerobot's groundbreaking haptic products, HGLOVE and ACETT, were the central focus. CNN Arabic's news presenter, Hadeel Jbour, led the insightful discussion, facilitating opportunities for Irerobot with potential collaborators in the UAE, Taiwan, and India. Evagoras Xydas highlighted the potential of these partnerships, noting, 'Our discussions with international companies pave the way for exciting developments in immersive XR technology, expanding the reach and capabilities of our haptic systems,'" the announcement also underlined.

Irerobot is part of the innovative portfolio of Kinisis Ventures, a regulated VC fund registered in Cyprus with US origins, focusing on technology companies and assisting them in scaling up in major markets such as the US.

Irerobot continues its mission to innovate in the realm of interactive technologies, emphasising rehabilitation robotics, medical technologies, and sensory interfaces, as they strive to enhance human-machine interaction and contribute to a technologically inclusive future.
