New Ambassador of Cyprus to China presents her credentials

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the People's Republic of China, Frances-Galatia Lanitou Williams, presented recently her credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping at a joint official ceremony for the presentation of Ambassadors' credentials.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after receiving the credentials, the President of China welcomed all the new Ambassadors and asked them to convey his warm wishes to the leaders and peoples of their respective countries.

In his speech, he was quoted as pointing out that China is ready to support the Ambassadors in fulfilling their duties, adding that through international cooperation, development can be achieved that will bring mutual benefits and common prosperity.
