Wellington Management Group LLP has acquired approximately 21 million shares of Bank of Cyprus, representing a 4.75% stake in the bank.

This acquisition was part of a recent placement where the liquidator of Laiki Bank sold a total of 21.5 million shares, equivalent to 4.8% of Bank of Cyprus's share capital. Specifically, Wellington Management purchased 20,992,909 shares in this transaction.
