President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen held a meeting in a more picturesque setting than usual, walking along the Paphos waterfront following von der Leyen's arrival in Cyprus for the MED9 meeting.

The two officials were accompanied by their security staff and other personnel during the meeting, which took place as the sun was setting on 10 October.
