AWS names Pavlos Chatzidimitriou as Head of Public Sector for Greece, Cyprus, Malta

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has appointed Pavlos Chatzidimitriou as Head of Public Sector for Greece, Cyprus, Malta.

In a LinkedIn post, Chatzidimitriou said, “I am very happy and excited to having embarked on a new challenge as the Public Sector Lead at AWS for Greece Cyprus and Malta.”

Chatzidimitriou, who is based in Greece, joined AWS at the start of the year, following senior management positions at Accenture in Germany and Greece since September 2018.

These followed just over 16 years at Oracle in Greece, preceded by several years in high positions at Marconi Communications, Bosch Telecome S.A., and Asea Brown Boveri SA, all in Greece.

Before that, Chatzidimitriou worked at Demstar Lt in Cyprus.

His academic training includes being a Research Engineer at the Institute of Telecommunications Equipment and Data Processing at the Technical University of Aachen's Institut fuer Nachrichtengeraete und Datenbverarbeitung.

Chatzidimitriou had previously also been a Student Assistant at the Institute of Dielectric and Ferromagnetic Materials of Electrical Engineering at the same university’s Institut fuer Werkstoffe der Elektrotechnik.
