Eurolife’s Smart Future, a winner at the IPE European Pension Fund Awards

Eurolife’s Smart Future Occupational Pension Plan is the Winner of the Silver Category Award – Passive Management, in this year’s IPE European Pension Fund Awards. According to the Awards’ judges, Smart Future’s “robust approach to creating an efficient and low-cost set of pension arrangements and investment choices in a small market based on passive management” was exemplary.

The award comes as recognition of Eurolife’s leading market position and top-tier performance and is a sound independent acknowledgement of its product offering and investment approach, the company said in a press release.

The IPE European Pension Fund Awards is the premier event of its kind with the largest annual gathering of pension funds in Europe. It rewards excellence and innovation in Europe's diverse pensions industry, creating a meaningful annual benchmark enabling pensions providers of all shapes and sizes to measure their investment and other areas of performance against their peers. The IPE European Pension Fund Awards each year recognise the bar-raising achievements of the diverse pension funds across Europe and celebrate excellence by creating a meaningful broad set of benchmarks.

The 2023 IPE Awards attracted more than 340 entries across 40 categories representing 22 countries, with participating investors managing €1.89trn in assets. 83 judges were involved in assessing entries, each bringing specialist expertise or knowledge in a particular category. The IPE Awards 2023 ceremony took place on 28th November, in Vienna.

The Smart Future Occupational Pension Plan is a professionally managed Group Pension Scheme, a result of a joint effort between two leading companies in the Cypriot market – Eurolife and The Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation Limited (CISCO). Smart Future has, over time, returns that stand out in the local market. Employers can offer a “true solution of value” to their employees as the Plan encompasses a comprehensive solution for employees to efficiently save for their retirement. Smart Future is an innovative and flexible Pension Plan, providing each member with a choice of four investment funds, as well as a unique automated lifestyle option which automatically adjusts each member’s personal risk/return profile, based on remaining number of years until retirement.
