Turnover value in retail trade grows faster than volume in May

The turnover value index in retail trade in May continued to exceed the trade volume index, reflecting the impact of price hikes on the market.

According to data released by CySTAT, the Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for May 2023 increased by 8.7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, whereas the annual rise in the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade was limited to 6.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
