BDSwiss helps renovate Limassol General Hospital’s paediatric ward

BDSwiss has made a generous contribution to the Paediatric Ward of Limassol’s General Hospital.

“Our contribution goes to the renovation programme of the clinic, in an attempt to restore and modernise it to better accommodate its young patients," the company said.

Contributions to the hospital helped, among others, to fully renovate two rooms in the Paediatric Ward, enhance the playground area and improve the amenities of the space. In addition, the hospital was able to purchase essential items, such as bed covers, sheets, pillows, curtains and room dividers.

Achilleas Achilleos, Chief Marketing Officer of BDSwiss, said: “This donation represents our commitment to the well-being of our community, as well as our faith in the power of healthcare to transform lives. We recognise the crucial role that hospitals play in providing essential care, support and hope to those in need, particularly during challenging times.”

Maria Petsa, Head of Human Resources, added: “By investing in these areas, we aim to enhance the quality of healthcare services available to our community and empower the talented medical professionals who dedicate their lives to saving and improving lives. Our decision to support Limassol Hospital Paediatric Ward was driven by the profound impact it has had on the lives of countless individuals. They have demonstrated unwavering dedication, compassion, and expertise in the face of adversity, and we are privileged to stand by their side as partners in this noble endeavour.”

Elena Yiangou, Senior Event Manager, said: “I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the entire BDSwiss team/family, whose unwavering commitment and dedication made this donation possible. Your hard work and shared vision have allowed us to make a significant and meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. It is your passion for excellence that continues to propel our company forward and makes me immensely proud to lead this remarkable team.”

Dr Amerikos Argyriou was a medical pioneer, who gained widespread recognition in Cyprus and globally as one of the most respected physicians. He built the first Paediatric Clinic in 1969 and tirelessly served patients until he was 81, bringing hope and dignity to thousands of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.

“We are humbled by the magnitude of Dr Argyriou’s contribution to our community,” said BDSwiss. “The least we can do is contribute to maintaining the hospital he created and help keep his vision alive. We hope this contribution will make life in the clinic more functional and enjoyable.”
