Total beer deliveries drop 16.9% y-o-y in June

Total beer deliveries dropped by 16.9% year on year in June, with stronger beer exports offsetting the loses in beer deliveries to the local market.

According to Cystat, deliveries of beers produced from local breweries amounted to 4.51 million litres compared with 5.42 million litres in June last year.

Beer deliveries in the local market have registered a steeper drop with 19.4%, while beer exports marked a significant increase of 30.5% y-o-y.

In litres, beer deliveries to the local market in June amounted to 4.15 million litres compared with 5.15 million litres in June 2022, while beer exports rose to 0.36 million litres compared with 0.28 million litres in June last year.

Compared with the previous month of 2023 total beer deliveries rose by 5.4%, Cystat added.
