Law Commissioner in Geneva for UN Commission session

Law Commissioner Louiza Christodoulidou-Zannetou is travelling to Geneva to attend, as head of the Cypriot delegation, the 138th Session of the United Nations Commission on the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

According to a statement, the Law Commissioner will present, in the form of a hearing, the 5th Periodic Report of the Republic of Cyprus under Article 40 of the International Covenant and will answer, together with a group of officials, questions from the UN Committee on the report.

Along with different ministry officials, the meeting before the UN Committee will also be attended by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cyprus in Geneva, Ambassador Olympia Neocleous, the Deputy Permanent Representative Andrea Petranyi and Embassy Counsellor George Samouel.
