Hermes Airports: Embracing solar power at Cyprus' airports

Cyprus' airports are taking a further step towards sustainability by harnessing the power of solar energy, Hermes Airports has announced.

Hermes Airports manages and controls Larnaka International Airport and Pafos International Airport under a 25-year Build-Operate-Transfer concession.

Hermes' solar park at Pafos Airports is a catalyst for a cleaner and more sustainable future. More than 2050 solar panels are installed on the grounds of Pafos Airport and the plant has a total capacity of 1.1MWp, Hermes Airports revealed recently.

"Sustainable development is key to #HermesAirports. With the installation of 2050 of solar panels, #PafosAirport adds its own renewable energy source to its electricity network. This is a major milestone in our commitment and our sustainability roadmap. Soon the solar park at Larnaka Airport will also be launched," the company said in a recent LinkedIn post.
