CSR Best Practices Awards: The competition’s deadline is approaching

A competition announced by CSR Cyprus aims to reward Cypriot companies that are taking the lead in Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR) matters while also showcasing company initiatives benefiting society or the environment.

The non-profit association announced the "CSR Best Practices Awards 2023” in collaboration with the Cooperative Societies and Social Enterprises Service, the Republic of Cyprus’ competent public authority for CSR.

The competition aims to promote and highlight the contribution of Cypriot businesses to the management of issues concerning both themselves and their stakeholders through the development of corporate sustainability and responsibility initiatives.

At the same time, the competition also encourages the adoption of similar practices among the business world by inspiring companies that, until now, have not progressed far enough with this type of action.

Companies participating in the competition have a lot to gain. Benefits include being recognised as CSR pioneers among their peers through their participation. They are also anticipated to expand and strengthen their reputation and credibility both at a national and European level while highlighting their innovation and commitment to sustainable development.

Another important advantage is that companies are anticipated to further influence the promotion of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility in the country through the adoption of corresponding "good practices" by other companies.

The Good Practices submitted will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee according to the following criteria: Strategic Approach to the Practice, Practice Implementation, Practice Results.

The award winners will be announced at a special ceremony to be held as part of the 15th Conference on Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility on July 4, 2023, at the Hilton Nicosia Hotel.

Entities doing business in Cyprus can take part in the competition, submitting up to two good practices, provided that they relate to separate programmes implemented in Cyprus.

Applications are submitted electronically by clicking here or by being sent to info@csrcyprus.org.cy with a closing date of April 21, 2023 at 14:00.
