President in Cairo to discuss Cyprus issue, bilateral ties and energy

President Nikos Christodoulides is on an official visit to Cairo to discuss the Cyprus issue, ways of deepening bilateral ties in trade, economy and tourism, and energy matters with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Christodoulides is also scheduled to meet with the General Secretary of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit. He will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Kombos, Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry George Papanastasiou, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President Doros Venezis, and other officials.
