‘P&O Kalypso’ to arrive at Limassol port in early May

P&O Maritime Logistics has announced the delivery of ‘P&O Kalypso’, another new addition to its Ports Services tug fleet.

“The innovative and compact ASD tug, the RAmparts 2300UZM, packs a powerful punch at just 23m in length with its 60TBP and Fi-Fi1 capabilities, taking our marine services at Limassol to the next level,” the company said.

‘P&O Kalypso’ takes its name from Calypso, the goddess-nymph in Greek mythology who detained Odysseus on her island for seven years before eventually helping him build a boat and releasing him.

She set sail from Turkey to Greece on 21 April, where her ownership will be transferred to P&O Maritime Cyprus Limited. She will then head to her homeport of Limassol, Cyprus in early May.

“Look forward to seeing ‘P&O Kalypso' in action as we continue to enhance our marine services at Limassol,” it said.
