The Island Private School launches scholarship application process

The Island Private School has announced that its scholarship application process for the 2023-2024 academic year is now open, with applications accepted until 30 April.

“The support programme for talented children living and studying in Cyprus provides full or partial tuition fees at The Island Private School of Limassol,” it said. “We want to provide opportunities for bright and motivated children to receive a world-class education and to develop their intellectual and creative potential.”

The scholarships are for children aged 10 years old and above (5th – 10th grade) who are facing objective financial difficulties and are willing to document this (bank statements, tax returns, medical documents, etc.).

Applications must be submitted by 30 April. To apply, click here. Each application will be considered on its own merits.

“We provide opportunities for bright and motivated children to receive a world-class education and to develop their intellectual and creative potential, we established The Island Charitable Foundation to support families who need financial assistance to pay tuition fees and other activities related to progressive education,” the private school explained.

“The fund has already received an initial commitment of €150,000 from the parents of the school and is aiming to raise over €1 million from parent donors and external sponsors,” it added.

The scholarships are for up to 100% of the annual tuition fee.

Priority is given to students based on the following criteria:

A. Financial needs

B. Talent and Motivation

C. Good fit for class composition (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity skills)

D. English language ability
