Minerals up, metallic products down in Price Index of Construction Materials

The price index for construction materials remains steady with a slight increase of 0.08% in November 2023, compared to November 2022, with the main increase recorded in minerals, while metal products show a decrease.

According to data published by CySTAT, the Price Index of Construction Materials for November 2023 reached 134.04 units (base year 2015=100). By main commodity category, increases were recorded in minerals (13.72%), mineral products (5.47%), products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.50%) and electromechanical products (0.39%). A decrease was recorded in metallic products (-8.34%).

Compared to the previous month, the index recorded a decrease of 0.19%.

For the January-November 2023 period, the index recorded an increase of 3.13% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
