ECB Vice President to visit Cyprus for high-level meetings and CBC conference

European Central Bank Vice-President, Luis de Guindos, is scheduled to visit Cyprus on 4 October, at the invitation of the Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), Constantinos Herodotou.

According to CBC, de Guindos' agenda includes a meeting with Herodotou, followed by official statements. The ECB Vice President will also be received by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, at the Presidential Palace.

Furthermore, de Guindos will be the keynote speaker at the first annual conference of the CBC, under the theme "The Role of Monetary Policy in Addressing Inflationary Pressures." A live broadcast of the conference will be available on the Central Bank of Cyprus' YouTube channel from approximately 2.30pm.
