During the grand opening of Teroxx’s new headquarters on October 7, founder and CEO Christoph Plieassnig unveiled the company’s new offices on Nicosia’s Makarios Avenue, marking the digital asset boutique’s strategic expansion from Larnaca to the capital.
With the CBN camera covering the event, it was attended by government officials and community leaders, while the invitation-only event unravelled into a night of celebration, music and art.
“Today, we are here, and with more than a hundred Teroxx-ians all over Europe, and we are growing fast. To grow like this, you need to have a regulation in place,” Pliessnig said.
On the sidelines of the event, he also unveiled the company's 25-year strategy called Wealth 2050.
“In the next 25 years, we are facing eighty-three trillion USD in wealth moving over to a new generation. It's a generation where the smartphone and the internet is a standard. It's a generation where digital assets, traditional investments, banking, and payments should go in line, and it should be possible to do it in one environment,” the CEO told CBN.
At the same time, the Mayor said that Teroxx set up shop in a very special way in the capital, as the offices also house an art gallery on the ground floor. "This shows a readiness to engage with the community," Proutzos said.
Speaking to CBN, Deputy Minister of Research, Nicodemos Damianou said that Cyprus’s technology sector now contributes more than 16 per cent to national GDP, adding: “So we need to keep pushing in that direction.”
He stressed that creating an environment that encourages companies such as Teroxx to reinvest and scale in Cyprus is essential for the economy and local development.
Teroxx continues to have a presence in Larnaca's original offices. The new headquarters also house the contemporary t.a.s. Gallery on the ground floor.
