Private Credit: Capital Finds New Routes

Businesses need capital to grow. Investors seek returns supported by disciplined risk management. At the intersection of these priorities, private credit is gaining significance in European financing, creating opportunities across companies, infrastructure and specialised investments.

The market’s expansion raises a critical question: what turns a financing opportunity into a resilient investment? Borrower quality, collateral, liquidity and repayment capacity all shape the answer.

Alexandre Bartolini, Managing Partner at GrowthPath Investments, Spain, will bring his perspective to this discussion at the 12th International Funds Summit, taking place on 16 November 2026 at Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol.

With a private credit track record exceeding $1.6 billion across multiple jurisdictions, sectors and investment stages, Bartolini brings experience in financing growing businesses.

He founded GrowthPath Investments, a specialist European growth-credit platform focused on B2B technology businesses operating in critical industries. Its strategy combines senior secured loans with warrant participation, connecting private credit financing with the potential to participate in a company’s future equity value.

The approach aims to provide flexible financing while limiting dilution for existing shareholders. For businesses, this connects access to growth capital with preserving ownership. For investors, it requires an understanding of both creditworthiness and the company’s growth prospects.

The Summit discussion will explore direct lending, asset-backed finance and infrastructure financing, alongside opportunities in special situations. Underwriting discipline, refinancing risk and liquidity management will be central considerations, together with the implications of AIFMD II and the European framework for loan origination by investment funds.

For fund managers, institutional investors and business advisers, Bartolini’s participation offers a practical perspective on structuring financing solutions that align business growth with investment requirements.

Under the theme “The European Alternative Funds Landscape”, the 12th International Funds Summit brings together professionals who raise, manage and allocate capital, offering opportunities to exchange expertise, examine market developments and build new professional relationships.
