The High Commissioner of India to Cyprus, Manish, accompanied by First Secretary Subhash Jangala, visited United Aerospace Maintenance Company (UAMCO) in Larnaca on Tuesday, the company said in an announcement.
The delegation met with UAMCO CEO John Savvides to discuss opportunities for future collaboration between the two countries’ aerospace and aviation sectors.
“The conversation looked to the future, to the opportunities ahead for collaboration in aerospace and in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) segment of aviation, and to the role companies like ours can play in deepening commercial ties between Cyprus and India,” UAMCO said.
The company added that ties between the two countries have grown considerably in recent years, and visits like this underscore how much more can be built.
The delegation later toured UAMCO’s facilities, seeing firsthand the work carried out daily by its teams. The company thanked the High Commissioner and his team for warmly engaging with its staff.
UAMCO was established in 2023 by 35-year industry veteran John Savvides, who is CEO of the business. The company, based in the Aradippou area of Larnaca, runs an advanced aviation maintenance, repairs and overhaul facility.
