Learning AI does not require a career break, a bootcamp or a free weekend. Session data from Coursiv, the AI-skills learning platform, shows that 86% of its learners spend at least 15 minutes a day on their lessons, and the median study session lasts 14.7 minutes. That is the real unit of adult learning in 2026: not a semester, not a course week, but a quarter of an hour protected from a busy day.
The data also shows when that quarter of an hour happens. The busiest study hour on the platform is 10 in the evening, local time. Learning peaks after dinner, when the working day is over and the house has gone quiet. It is a picture very different from the classroom image most people still attach to education: no lecture halls and no timetables, just a phone or a laptop and a short daily session that fits between family and sleep.
The pattern says a lot about who is learning AI today. Coursiv’s learners are working professionals: accountants, managers, marketers and small-business owners with full calendars and real obligations. Their motivations are just as grounded. When learners describe their goals, 40.5% want to grow in their current role, 18.6% are looking for a source of side income, and 9.2% are preparing to change careers. Among financial motivations, the most common answer is simply paying off bills, named by 33.3%. These are people improving their position in working life, and they need a way to learn that respects the life they already have.
Coursiv is designed around exactly that constraint. The platform turns AI learning into a daily habit: one bite-size lesson a day inside structured 28-day programmes that cover more than ten widely used AI tools, from ChatGPT and Claude to image generation and productivity assistants. Lessons are practical and task-based, available on web and mobile, and every programme ends with a certificate of completion that learners can add to their CV and LinkedIn profile. The format asks for consistency rather than sacrifice, and the session data suggests learners hold up their end of the bargain night after night.
The approach has scaled quickly. More than 2,000,000 people have joined Coursiv to master AI, including over 1.1 million paying learners since January 2026, making it one of the fastest-growing education technology companies in the world.
“Almost no one has spare hours, but almost everyone has 15 minutes in the evening. We designed every course around that reality: one short lesson a day, four weeks, a certificate at the end. The industry keeps looking for dramatic answers to the skills gap, and our data keeps pointing at something much humbler. Consistency beats intensity, and we can see it in the numbers every night at ten o’clock,” the Coursiv team said.
Coursiv is used by learners across the world, with courses available in 20 languages. The company continues to expand its catalogue as demand for practical AI skills grows worldwide.
