Revenue from tourism increased by 0.2% compared with June 2025, following three consecutive months of decline, according to data published by CySTAT. For the first semester of 2026, tourism revenue records a 11.4% decrease.
Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by CySTAT, revenue from tourism reached €423.1 mn in June 2026, recording an increase of 0.2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (€422.3 mn).
For the period of January – June 2026, revenue from tourism is estimated at €1,221.3m compared to €1,378.1m in the corresponding period of 2025, recording a decrease of 11.4%.
Expenditure analysis
The average expenditure per person was €863.62 in June 2026, compared to €847.01 in June 2025, recording an increase of 2%.
Tourists from the United Kingdom (the largest tourist market with 33% of the total tourists in June 2026) spent on average €103.98 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second-largest market during the specific month with 16.4% of the total tourists) spent on average €174.27.
Tourists from Poland (the third-largest market with 7.3%) spent on average €84.37 per day.
