Hundreds of citizens have been using the new digital data analysis and presentation tool, PowerBI, operated by the State Treasury, almost five months after it was launched, Accountant General Andreas Antoniades has revealed.
Speaking to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA,) Antoniades said that, to date, the digital tool has attracted 537 unique users.
He added that the use of PowerBI forms part of the broader strategy of the Treasury of the Republic to continuously upgrade its digital tools, with the aim of enhancing transparency, accountability and efficiency in fiscal management by providing reliable, timely and high-quality financial information.
The Accountant General also said that PowerBI provides ready-made and customised reports, interactive dashboards and graphical representations covering the implementation of the state budget by Ministry, Department, and monthly revenue and expenditure category, with the aim of promoting transparency in the financial information provided to citizens.
