A total of 97,096 commercial flights were recorded at Larnaca and Paphos international airports in 2025, according to Eurostat data published on Friday.
Based on the sum of Eurostat’s monthly figures, 73,226 commercial flights were recorded at Larnaca Airport during 2025, while the corresponding number at Paphos Airport stood at 23,870.
The highest level of traffic at both Cypriot airports was recorded in August, when 8,619 commercial flights operated at Larnaca and 2,961 at Paphos, bringing the combined total for the two airports to 11,580.
Traffic was also high in July, with 8,163 flights at Larnaca and 2,745 at Paphos, while in September the respective figures stood at 7,727 and 2,713 flights.
By contrast, the lowest combined number of flights at the two Cypriot airports was recorded in February, with 3,387 flights at Larnaca and 905 at Paphos.
Nearly 7 million commercial flights in the EU
According to Eurostat, a total of 6.9 million commercial flights were recorded across the European Union in 2025, up 3.8% from 6.7 million in 2024.
Eurostat said the number of commercial flights has been rising continuously since 2021 and, by 2025, had returned to levels similar to those recorded before the pandemic. Around 7 million commercial flights were recorded in the EU in 2019.
