This is the new competitive identity of Cyprus - 'Stability with Perspective: A European Base with Global Reach'

Cyprus' new competitive identity and narrative, which relate to stability, the exploitation of Cyprus' comparative advantages and the strengthening of its role as a modern European state with an international orientation, were presented at two consecutive events held in Nicosia, entitled 'Repositioning Cyprus: Presentation on the New Brand Narrative.'

The first event was addressed to public sector officials, while the second to representatives of the business community, productive entities and organisations in the country.

The events are part of the strategy for the international identity and image of the Republic of Cyprus, which has been implemented since 2025.

The project is being implemented by Invest Cyprus, under the coordination of the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus, with the contribution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.

The country's new national narrative is summarised in the message:'Stability with Perspective: A European Base with Global Reach.'

This message reflects the Government's vision for a Cyprus that builds on stability, capitalises on its comparative advantages and strengthens its role as a modern European state with an international orientation.

The framework presented forms a unified set of tools, messages and directions, offering stakeholders a clear narrative, strategic orientation and practical guidance.

The aim is for it to be utilised by the state, institutions, productive entities and the business community in international outreach and promotion actions, so that Cyprus is represented with consistency, credibility and a unified voice.

In her speech at the event, Deputy Minister to the President, Irine Piki, noted that the development of the first comprehensive national international identity strategy was a strategic priority set by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, from the first months of his administration.

She emphasised that this effort goes beyond the limits of a communication campaign or a new visual identity, as it concerns the way in which Cyprus positions itself in the international reality of the coming decades.

"No projection can replace real progress, reforms, stability, credibility and the real opportunities that a country creates," Piki said, pointing out that "the real image of a country is not manufactured, it is built."

Piki emphasised that, in an international environment of intense competition, credibility and trust are decisive factors of competitiveness and international influence. In this context, she noted that the success of the strategy requires close cooperation between the state, institutions and the business community, with Cypriot businesses being important ambassadors of the country in international markets on a daily basis.

He also pointed out that the Government seeks for the strategy to be a dynamic process, which will be constantly enriched through the experience of businesses, the needs of international markets and the success stories of people and organisations that create, innovate, export and invest in Cyprus.

In closing, he called on representatives of the business community to actively participate in this collective effort.

"We want you to become the ambassadors of the new Cypriot identity. Because the most important ambassadors of a country are its people," Piki noted.

Finally, the Deputy Minister to the President expressed her thanks to Invest Cyprus, the members of the Project Monitoring Committee and the company KREAB for their contribution to the implementation of an initiative that transcends organisations and institutions and concerns the future of the country as a whole.

On his part, the Chairman of Invest Cyprus, Evgenios Evgeniou, described the new national narrative, which was developed in collaboration with the company KREAB, as a strategic initiative of the Government to strengthen Cyprus' international reputation and further establish it as a reliable European business and investment hub.

As he stated, the new strategy leverages the strong foundations of the Cypriot economy, the significant progress achieved in recent years in the development of the country's technological ecosystem and the long-term vision for its future, strengthening the confidence of the international investment community.
