Penny Spiliotopoulou and Charis Kynigou Landa join Alpha Bank Cyprus' Executive Committee

Alpha Bank Cyprus has announced the strengthening of its Executive Committee, in the context of the continuous evolution of its management model and the implementation of its strategic plan.

According to Alpha Bank Cyprus' announcement, with the new organisational structure, Penny Spiliotopoulou assumes the duties of Chief Financial Officer and participates in the Executive Committee of the Bank, strengthening the financial operation with significant experience in the financial services sector and substantial knowledge of the Alpha Bank Group. At the same time, Charis Kynigou Landa, Chief Private Banking Officer and Member of the Executive Committee, has a key role in the further development of Private Wealth, specialised services for high net worth clients, international Private Banking activities , as well as in the supervision of treasury management.

"The new structure enhances the Bank's ability to respond with speed, consistency and expertise to market needs. It also supports the further enhancement of the Customer experience, the development of modern financial and investment solutions and the effective implementation of Alpha Bank Cyprus' strategic priorities," the announcement said.

Penny Spiliotopoulou has over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, in the UK and Greece. She is a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business and holds a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Politics Science from the University of London. She began her career in 1995 at PwC in London and then worked in financial institutions, initially providing audit and advisory services and subsequently as a banking executive. In 2013, she joined Alpha Bank Group in Greece, assuming senior management positions in Units of the Financial Services Sector. In January 2026 she moved to Alpha Bank Cyprus, initially as Advisor to the Chief Financial Officer, while since June 2026 she holds the position of Chief Financial Officer.

Charis Kynigou Landa has extensive experience in the areas of Private Banking, Treasury Capital Markets, Wealth Management, and Management and ESG. From February 2015 to October 2025, she served as Executive Member of the Board of AstroBank and Head of the Private Banking, Treasury Capital Markets and ESG Divisions Shee contributed substantially to the transformation of Private Banking, the upgrading of Treasury & Capital Markets functions, the management of bond issues and the creation of the ESG Unit. Before AstroBank, Kynigou Landa held positions of responsibility at BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Zurich, Piraeus Bank in Greece, Citibank International Plc and Telerate Hellas SA, while she was also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Stock Exchange. He is a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and holds a master's degree in Financial Economics from Cardiff Business School of the University of Wales. Following the completion of the acquisition of AstroBank, in 2025, she was appointed Chief Private Banking Officer at Alpha Bank Cyprus where she oversees the Private Banking and Treasury.
