Unemployment in Cyprus stood at 3.2% in April 2026, according to the latest Eurostat showing a slight decrease compared to March (3.3%).
Youth unemployment (under 25) data for April is not available, but in January 2026, it was 12.7%.
At an EU level, unemployment remained stable in April 2026, with the euro area recording a rate of 6.3%(unchanged compared to March 2026 and April 2025), and the EU as a whole at 6.0%. According to estimates, 13.238 million people were unemployed in the EU, of whom 11.075 million in the euro area.
