In the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy is organizing the Digital Conference ‘Shaping the Next Digital Frontier’, to be held on 17-18 June 2026, at the Filoxenia Conference Center in Nicosia, Cyprus.
At a defining moment for Europe’s digital future, the Conference will serve as a high-level forum for strategic reflection and forward-looking dialogue on the European Union’s wider digital agenda and, in particular, the rapidly evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence.
Bringing together a distinguished line-up of speakers and participants from governments, European institutions, industry and academia, the Conference will provide a unique platform for meaningful exchange on the opportunities, challenges and policy choices shaping the Digital Age.
The Conference will feature Sir Demis Hassabis, CEO & Co-Founder of Google DeepMind, as Keynote Speaker, alongside EU Ministers, senior representatives from the European Commission, leaders of European business associations and C-Level executives from the global ICT industry. In addition,

The Conference will also feature a dedicated session on regional digital cooperation, with the participation of HE Ms Deemah Al Yahya, Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization, reflecting the Cyprus Presidency’s vision of “An Autonomous Union, Open to the World.” The discussion will explore the importance of international partnerships and cross-regional collaboration for a more connected, resilient, and inclusive digital future.
