Industrial production in Cyprus rose by 1.8% in March 2026 compared with the same month in 2025, while on a monthly basis it increased by 1.2%, according to data published by Eurostat on Wednesday.
Both the annual and monthly increases recorded in Cyprus are higher than the European Union average.
At EU level, seasonally adjusted industrial production in March 2026 increased by 0.2% in the euro area and by 0.8% in the EU compared with the previous month.
On an annual basis, industrial production decreased by 2.1% in the euro area and by 1.0% in the EU.
On a monthly basis in the euro area, production increased for intermediate goods by 0.9%, for capital goods by 1.1% and for durable consumer goods by 0.5%, while it decreased for energy by 1.5% and for non-durable consumer goods by 4.5%.
