At this stage, our operations from Cyprus are running as scheduled and we continue to inform our passengers with all the updates to specific flights.
Currently, there is no fuel shortage, and while the wider environment remains uncertain, contingency measures are already being activated across the industry where needed. Wizz Air’s priority remains the safety of our passengers and crew, while continuing to offer reliable and affordable connectivity.

Our low-cost model is built around efficiency, and this is especially important during periods of higher fuel prices. Wizz Air operates one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in Europe, with aircraft that consume significantly less fuel than older-generation aircraft. Wizz Air has a fleet of 262 aircraft, and 75% of them are the state-of-the-art Airbus A321neos, and their average age is below 5 years.
In addition, Wizz Air has fuel hedging in place, including coverage for the winter period, which helps reduce exposure to short-term volatility. While fuel prices are an industry-wide challenge, our cost discipline, efficient operations, and modern fleet allow us to remain focused on offering passengers affordable fares.
