On the occasion of the Easter holidays, Alphamega Hypermarkets provided their employees with gift vouchers worth a total of €750,000, to reward their performance and loyalty.
The bonus has been provided to approximately 2,500 Alphamega Hypermarkets and Bean Bar employees, who have received a gift voucher worth €300 as an Easter bonus.
As stated by the company, this initiative is part of a wider effort to support its workforce – the company’s main pilar in terms of operation and growth.
Via a letter sent to all employes, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Alphamega Hypermarkets, Mr. Andreas Papaellinas, expressed his gratitude towards the company’s personnel for all the hard work, remarking that “we are aware of the fact that Easter holidays bring about an increased workload for all our employees due to the spike in shopping activity, and we highly appreciate the extra effort being made by all of you to provide our customers with the best possible service during this demanding period”.
He also pointed out the contribution of the company’s employees to Alphamega Hypermarkets’ rapid growth, stressing that “each and every one of you has decisively contributed to our common success, promoting the company’s constant growth and strengthening”.
It is worth noting that last December, the company granted salary increases to its personnel by a total of €2.5m.
Alphamega Hypermarkets’ employees already enjoy an extensive benefits package, which includes, among other things, a 13th salary, discounts at the company’s hypermarkets and at Bean Bar, and scholarships for higher education studies for themselves and their family members. At the same time, emphasis is placed on staff health and well-being, with employees being offered free access to occupational physicians, qualified psychologists and dietitians, a private healthcare plan with global coverage, life insurance and a provident fund.
